January 22nd will not be just another ordinary day, as it marks the highly anticipated date when Samsung will finally unveil its latest and most innovative smartphones during its much-awaited conference. With so many rumors and leaks circulating, here’s everything we know so far about the new Galaxy S25 family and what to expect from these cutting-edge devices.

Design and Color Options

Samsung is known for its excellence in smartphone design, but the design of the Galaxy S series has not seen major changes in recent years. It seems that this reality is about to change with the Galaxy S25, as reports suggest that Samsung plans to introduce noticeable design updates. It is expected that titanium will continue to be used for the Ultra model at least.

Galaxy S25 & S25 Ultra: Everything About Features and Leaks Revealed

Important leaks have indicated that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be lighter and smaller compared to the S24 Ultra. It is expected to weigh around 219 grams, compared to 232 grams of its predecessor and 227 grams for the latest iPhone models. The phone will retain a 6.8-inch display but with smaller bezels and a thinner body.

  • As for the colors, according to initial reports, the standard S25 may be available in four colors: dark blue, blue, silver, and green, while the Plus model may introduce an additional black option.
  • For the Ultra, the colors will be linked to the titanium design and will include black, blue, gray, and silver.

Is there a fourth phone?

Rumors are circulating about the possibility of Samsung releasing a fourth model in the Galaxy S25 series, which could be called the Galaxy S25 Slim. This phone is expected to be thinner than the other models in the series, and there is some doubt as to whether it will be released separately in January.

However, as the release date approaches, the likelihood of seeing it alongside the three main models has increased. Although exact details on the phone's thickness are missing, it is expected to be less than 7mm, making it thinner than the S24. It will feature the same design language and specifications, with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

Cameras

Leaks have confirmed that the camera module design will see slight changes, as it will maintain its current arrangement but with design touches inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The lens frames will be enlarged and more prominent, without resorting to a vertical window shape.

  • In the S25 Ultra, it is expected that the main cameras will maintain a 200-megapixel resolution, along with a 50-megapixel periscope camera offering 5x optical zoom. Instead of the 10-megapixel telephoto camera, Samsung may rely on a new 50-megapixel camera with the same zoom capabilities.

  • Additionally, the ultra-wide lens is expected to be upgraded to 50 megapixels. According to one leak, the lens will use a new version of the sensor to significantly improve both accuracy and quality.

Display

The display size of the Ultra model may remain at 6.8 inches, while the standard S25’s screen size could stay the same at 6.17 inches. It seems that Samsung will continue to use the same OLED M13 panel that was used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Performance and Software

Samsung may fully rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor across the entire S25 family, which means significant improvements in performance and energy efficiency. Benchmark test results indicate a huge leap with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The phone will also see an increase in RAM to 16GB, compared to 12GB in the S24 Ultra, and the RAM in the standard version of the series is expected to be upgraded to 12GB, up from 8GB in the previous model. As for the software, the S25 series will run on Android 15 with the One UI 7 interface, which brings important improvements in the user interface and power consumption.

  • Leaks also suggest that Samsung might add a seamless update feature, allowing system updates to be installed without interrupting phone usage.
  • The gaming experience will be enhanced through a special mode that boosts frame rates in games without increasing power consumption.
  • The series is also expected to support new features, such as car accident detection, a field in which companies like Apple and Google currently excel.

Battery

  • Reports indicate that the Galaxy S25 will retain a 4,000mAh battery capacity in the standard version and 5,000mAh in the S25 Ultra, with fast charging at 45W.
  • Although the battery capacity remains unchanged, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor ensures energy efficiency, contributing to better battery life.
  • The standard version may stick with 25W charging instead of 45W.

Meanwhile, wireless charging in the standard version will be less powerful at 9W instead of 15W. However, there is a possibility of supporting the Qi 2 wireless charging standard, either via a special magnetic cover or direct compatibility.

The Galaxy S25 series, with its S25 and S25 Ultra models, has created a massive buzz in the world of smartphones. With a stunning design, advanced photography technologies, and exceptional performance, Samsung unveils a phone that combines the future and modern technology.

These phones are a strong investment for tech enthusiasts seeking the best user experience, whether in camera quality, speed, or display. With this grand campaign to uncover the secrets of these devices, it seems Samsung has set a new standard in the smartphone industry. Everyone eagerly anticipates the launch of these phones that promise to revolutionize the mobile world.
